Shovan Shah (he/him) is a Designer I in Studio Gang’s Chicago office. Growing up in Mumbai, Shovan realized from an early age the value of public space in dense communities and the benefits of designing these spaces inclusively and responsibly. A student of Jeanne’s at Harvard Graduate School of Design, Shovan was drawn to Studio Gang for its community-driven design process and environmentally sustainable projects. He is currently part of the team designing Populus, an energetic new social center in downtown Denver.
Shovan holds a Master of Architecture in Urban Design with a concentration in Real Estate from the Harvard GSD, where he was named a Dean’s Merit Scholar. He also holds a Master of Architecture II from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Mumbai. Outside of the studio, Shovan is always looking to embark on photography adventures, discover new ways of cooking, and explore a city’s stand-up comedy scene.
