Architect Rodia Valladares is a Design Principal in charge of Studio Gang’s Paris office. He leads design teams across a range of civic, educational, and cultural projects. Following time in our Chicago and New York offices, Rodia now leads our Paris Studio alongside Ana Flor.
Rodia served as design principal for the Studio’s first built project in France, the recently completed University of Chicago John W. Boyer Center in Paris. He is currently leading the design of a new commercial tower in Paris’ La Défense district.
Prior to establishing the Paris office, Rodia contributed to many of our award-winning projects during his 15-year tenure with the Studio. He was the project leader for Rescue Company 2, a fire station in Brownsville, Brooklyn, the Guggenheim Foundation headquarters in lower Manhattan, and the new U.S. Embassy in Brasília.
Rodia also played a key role in the NYC Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice Neighborhood Activation Study, Writers Theater, City Hyde Park, and the Samuel H. Scripps Theatre Center at Hudson Valley Shakespeare, currently under construction in Garrison, New York.
Rodia holds a Master of Architecture with Distinction from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and received his undergraduate degree from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid.
