Architect Weiju Lai is a Design Director in Studio Gang’s San Francisco office. Since joining the Studio, Juju has worked on various cultural, educational, and residential projects, including the Gilder Center, WMS Boathouse at Clark Park, the Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership, the University of Chicago Campus North Residential Commons, and the Rescue Company 2 facility in Brooklyn.
Juju was drawn to the collective nature of the Studio and its diverse engagement with the architecture, landscapes, and bodies of water all around us, an approach to the world that she brings to all aspects of her life and work. Now based in San Francisco, Juju considers Taipei her home. The Yang Ming Mountain and the night markets in Taiwan are among her favorite places to find peace and joy.
Juju holds a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Architecture from Tung Hai University in Taiwan.
