Luis Medina (he/him) is a Designer II in Studio Gang’s Chicago office. Interested in how architecture and urban design can advance sustainability and improve people’s well-being, he contributes to the design of a range of Studio Gang’s civic-scale projects. Luis’ background spans both project development and design, having worked at Bjarke Ingels Group in Copenhagen, Denmark, and in real estate development offices in the U.S. Midwest. He is also an active mentor in the ACE Mentor Program, introducing high school students to the fields of architecture, construction, and engineering.
Luis holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor of Science in Design from Arizona State University. Originally from Caracas, Venezuela, a few other cities he has previously called home include Phoenix, Copenhagen, and Madrid. He also enjoys camping, coffee breaks, and field sports.
