Architect Haoxiang Yang is a Project Leader in Studio Gang’s Chicago office, where he is working on the O’Hare Global Terminal. Influenced by many of the Studio’s projects for their integrated narratives—from research to community involvement, from program to material fabrication—and computational design, Haoxiang was drawn to Studio Gang for their design approach.
He holds an Master of Architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design and a Bachelor of Architecture from the South China University of Technology. He enjoys modeling in both digital and physical forms, as well as architectural animations. For Haoxiang, home is Hefei, Nanjing, and Guangzhou, China, as well as Amsterdam and Boston. Outside of architecture, he is interested in traveling, aviation history, Russian classical music, badminton, and photography. His favorite natural landscapes include Yosemite and Yellowstone National Parks, Rembrandt Park in Amsterdam, and Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord in Germany. His favorite bodies of water include the Rhine River, Caribbean Sea, and Iguazu Falls.
