Architect Chris Bennett (he/him) is a Senior Project Leader in Studio Gang’s Chicago office. A Chicagoland native, he joined the Studio in 2015, quickly becoming integral to its growing urban design practice. He has served as a leading team member for the Memphis Riverfront Concept, Seaholm Waterfront Concept Study, Lake Paranoa competition design, Civic Commons, and Edge Effect, and was a major contributor to the Studio’s Polis Station project for the inaugural Chicago Architecture Biennial. He was drawn to the Studio for its deep focus on expanding the practice of architecture through urban design and enjoys collaborating with landscape architects and ecologists.
With design and construction in his family, Chris pursued architecture at the University of Michigan after earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts from Columbia College Chicago. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of Michigan and a Master of Design Studies in Urbanism Landscape Ecology from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Outside of the Studio, he enjoys running and playing guitar. His favorite body of water is Geneva Lake in Wisconsin.
