Caroline Acheatel (she/her) is a Designer II in Studio Gang’s Chicago office. With a background in environmental research and community development, Caroline was drawn to the Studio for its ability to synthesize diverse areas of inquiry into design projects that address ecology and equity. She works primarily on the Studio’s public and urban design projects and is currently a member of the team redesigning Tom Lee Park in Memphis, Tennessee.
Caroline holds a Master of Architecture from Yale University and a Master of Environmental Management from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, where her research centered on the social, ecological, and political dimensions of climate change in Mexico City. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Born and raised in San Diego, she continues to count the tidepools, bluffs, and beaches of that stretch of the California coast as her favorite landscape—especially when seals are on shore. In Chicago she’s excited to discover new neighborhoods, as well as all the food the city has to offer.
