Architect Zoë Small is a Design Principal in Studio Gang’s New York office. With over 25 years of experience leading complex and high-profile cultural, educational, and public projects, she is a proven leader able to deliver boundary-pushing designs and improve project execution at every scale.
Before joining Studio Gang, Zoë was a Principal at Diller Scofidio + Renfro. While there, she played a key leadership role on major civic and institutional projects including Google’s revitalization of Pier 57 and the renovation and expansion of both the Museum of Modern Art and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts in New York – projects that have helped reshape the city’s urban and cultural landscape.
A recognized leader in the architecture community, Zoë serves on the AIA Scholarship Committee, helping support the next generation of architects through tuition assistance and research funding. She has lectured at AIA Women in Architecture forums and regularly serves as a juror for leading architecture programs, including those at Columbia University and the University of Pennsylvania.
Zoë holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University, with time spent studying in Italy, Spain, France, and Portugal. A native New Yorker and lifelong adventurist, she is always seeking her next mountain to climb or century to cycle.
