Architect Bethany Mahre is a Senior Project Leader in Studio Gang’s New York office, working on cultural and civic projects. Bethany was drawn to architecture by an interest in place, problem solving, and the desire to unpack her surroundings. For her, architecture is equal parts artistic and analytical and an act of creative collaboration. She values the many voices and disciplines required to create meaningful work, whether client, community, contractor, or fabricator. Bethany was drawn to the Studio for its focus on building responsibly while providing high-quality design, an approach resulting in projects that address both environment and user.
Prior to joining Studio Gang, Bethany worked at Thomas Phifer and Partners as a key contributor to documentation and on-site construction administration for the Glenstone II Museum and the North Wing Expansion for the Corning Museum of Glass.
Originally from Kennesaw, Georgia, Bethany has also lived in St. Louis, Baltimore, Paris, and Buenos Aires. She currently calls New York home. She holds a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Georgia Tech.
