Design Intern

Office: Chicago New York San Francisco

Studio Gang is seeking creative, collaborative, and curious interns to join our design teams. Interns work as part of our teams to advance a design project or area of research. Interns should be passionate about architecture and ready to learn. They should have a strong design sensibility and bring knowledge and interest in a range of analog and digital methods and tools. Candidates for this role must be pursuing a Professional Degree in Architecture and be enrolled through Summer 2025.

Responsibilities:
• Perform architectural assignments including site and material research, sketching, diagramming, vignette rendering, programming, and concept documentation
• Participate in research, design, and iterative experimentation using digital and analog technologies
• Explore creative and innovative solutions to assigned tasks and participate in presenting ideas in a clear and compelling manner
• Complete physical modeling assignments led by our Model Shop and Archive teams

Requirements:
• Current enrollment in an accredited architecture program
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, strong knowledge of drafting and 3D rendering programs (Revit, Rhino)
• Experience developing and presenting design options that communicate clear concepts or questions
• Highly motivated with strong verbal and graphic communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to thrive in dynamic open studio environments

The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $18-25 per hour. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience and location.
