Designers - Chicago, New York, San Francisco, Paris

Studio Gang is seeking full-time Designers to join our teams in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Paris. Designers at Studio Gang assist with all phases of project design, from conceptual design through construction administration. Designers perform work on defined segments of a project under the direct supervision of experienced Project Leaders.

Responsibilities
• Advance architectural concepts and ideas through iterative sketching, physical and digital modeling, diagramming, and rendering
• Seek creative and innovative solutions throughout the life of a project
• Produce coordinated design and construction drawings, documents, material studies, and specifications in accordance with design intent and technical requirements

Requirements

Studio Gang is actively seeking an experienced Interiors Architect to collaborate with and support our diverse group of thinkers, designers, architects, and project leaders on a wide range of projects.

This role will work closely with the Studio’s Design Principal and interiors team leading the Studio’s interior architecture scope. The Studio’s interiors team advances interior architecture for civic, cultural, institutional, office, and residential buildings at various scales. This role functions as a pivotal part of the team designing from the inside out to create inviting, inclusive spaces for people and communities to enjoy.

The ideal candidate will be excited to engage our iterative design process, collaborate with team members and external stakeholders, and contribute to our cohesive approach unifying interiors and exteriors. They should be a skilled designer, detail-oriented, highly adept at verbal, written and graphic communication, curious, and thoughtful.

Requirements include:
• Master’s degree in architecture required
• Minimum 7 years experience as an interiors-focused architect with specific experience in interior design and construction
• Extensive experience with interior architectural drawings and documentation on a variety of project types (e.g., cultural, institutional, higher-ed, multi-family residential)
• Knowledge of interior design detailing, millwork, finishes and products
• Ability to develop physical and conceptual connections to overall building design

Licensed Interior Designer - Chicago, New York

Requirements
• NCIDQ certification required
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as licensed interior designer with specific experience in FF&E selection and procurement.
• Extensive experience with interior architectural drawings and documentation on a variety of project types (e.g., cultural, institutional, higher-ed, multi-family residential).
• Knowledge of interior design detailing, millwork, contract furniture and interior finishes.
• Ability to lead FF&E design and selection process, write furniture specifications, and produce FF&E RFPs for dealer selection.
• Experience coordinating FF&E planning and execution.
• Proficiency with drafting and 3-D rendering software (Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit) as well as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Excellent graphic, verbal and written communication skills are required.

Studio Gang is seeking experienced Project Leaders with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our collaborative culture of design professionals. Project Leaders are responsible for advancing projects and directing team members and consultants throughout all phases of design, from conceptual design through construction administration.

Responsibilities
• Lead all aspects of a project including design, communication, management, and documentation.
• Ability to present, generate, represent, and identify clear design ideas and concepts
• Implement effective work plans and schedules for the team, consultants, and themselves
• Manage the administrative requirements of a project including the development of workplans and schedules, progress reports, cost analysis, and approved financial documents
• Collaborate with Studio leaders to prepare materials for external press and events, financial and contractual reviews, and in-house peer review sessions

Marketing Manager - New York

Studio Gang is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Marketing Manager to join our talented Marketing & Communications team full-time in our New York office. The Marketing Manager’s primary responsibility is to harness their keen graphic sensibility and strong writing abilities to lead the Studio’s bid and proposal efforts from start to finish. The role requires a responsible individual who knows how to manage multiple deadlines through proactive communication and organized and efficient project management. The ideal candidate will also possess a deep understanding of architectural procurement processes and will look forward to bringing their talents to a mission-driven, leading creative practice.

The Marketing Manager will also work collaboratively with the other members of the Marketing & Communications team to enhance the visibility of the Studio and its leadership in strategic ways. This includes supporting a range of promotional and business development initiatives, from producing awards submissions to coordinating speaking engagements and leadership’s attendance at key industry events.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
• With the Marketing Director, leading the production of brochures, portfolios, qualifications packages, project proposals, and external presentations with strong strategic themes that clearly communicate the Studio’s values and differentiators.
• As part of the Marketing team, prepare Go No Go materials for Studio Partners by joining intake calls, researching clients, producing new project summaries, and making strategic recommendations.
• Identifying, researching, and tracking long lead opportunities and supporting Principals in their ongoing networking and BD efforts.
• Researching and supporting attendance at relevant industry events and conferences that align with Studio’s BD objectives and long-lead targets.
• Researching and identifying strategic partnerships and collaborations for pursuits, including facilitating introductions to new engineers and consultants.
• Supporting the Studio’s awards strategy and production. This includes researching architectural awards programs and coordinating production of submissions.
• Update and maintain marketing assets such as studio diagrams and staff bios.
• Support competition teams with text and graphic support and outlining deliverables.
• Support Principals in the production, editing and script development of slideshows and presentations for potential clients and new collaborators.
• Working with project teams and with Archivist and Librarian to further develop a project documentation system to gather public-ready materials and data in a timely and efficient manner.
