Communications Intern

Office: New York

Studio Gang is seeking an enthusiastic Communications Intern to support our New York-based Marketing & Communications team. This internship will offer training and visibility into the diverse range of promotional initiatives the Studio undertakes. The Communications Intern will have the opportunity to learn how to engage with media, how to organize photo shoots and tours of projects, how to support leadership for speaking engagements and external events, and more. They will also learn how the work of architectural teams is translated into stories, data, and visual representations suitable for external use. The role is ideal for individuals interested in working in the architectural field in a unique role that engages an interest in storytelling, graphic design, and writing.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing press clippings and maintaining archive of press coverage
  • Servicing press requests and acting as a point of contact for media
  • Organizing and maintaining press kits
  • Supporting the coordination of speaking engagements, project tours, photos shoots, and other external events
  • Supporting the production of website and social media content
  • Preparing staff bios, business cards, and other staff collateral
  • Supporting maintenance of data in systems such as OpenAsset and Deltek
  • Working with teams to collect relevant information about ongoing projects

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and management abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work across multiple tasks under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop required
  • Candidates with proficiency in French strongly encouraged to apply

 

The salary range for this position at the time of posting is $18-25 per hour. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience and location.
