Studio Gang Receives Excellence in Building Award from The Architect's Newspaper

Above: Bengt Sjostrom Starlight Theatre, completed in 2003, was designed with an innovative roof structure that opens in good weather and connects the audience with the sky above, activating a space for people to gather for open-air performances.

The Architect’s Newspaper has named Studio Gang as the recipient of the Excellence in Building award, which recognizes innovative responses to issues of environmental and ecological sustainability within the architecture and design community.

On March 11, 2020, Studio Gang will receive the award at the 1st Annual Design Gala, a celebration of leaders in architecture, design, and construction in North America.
