Studio Gang Names New Design Principals

Studio Gang is pleased to announce the promotion of both Rodia Valladares Sánchez and Ana Maria Flor Ortiz to Design Principals in our New York office. Both Rodia and Ana have been with the Studio for over a decade and have contributed to our most prominent projects out of both the Chicago and New York offices, including the Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership, the University of Chicago Campus North Residential Commons, and the American Museum of Natural History Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation.

Rodia also took an integral role on the WMS Boathouse at Clark Park and Eleanor Boathouse at Park 571, and went on to direct the design of civic projects out of the New York office, including recently completed Rescue 2 for FDNY, Crime Prevention Through Community Design and Problem-Solving for the NYC Mayor’s Office of Criminal Justice, and the upcoming US Embassy in Brasilia, Brazil.

Ana has developed an expertise in designing complex cultural, educational and residential projects and has taken a leading role on the American Museum of Natural History Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation, now under construction, as well as the upcoming Enterprise Research Campus at Harvard University.

Rodia and Ana join Juliane Wolf, Weston Walker, Thorsten Johann, and Margaret Cavenagh as Design Principals, working closely with Founding Principal Jeanne Gang to lead the Studio’s diverse body of work.
