Jeanne Gang at the MFA Boston, Esther Steinberg Memorial Architecture Lecture

March 18, 2015

Harry and Mildred Remis Auditorium, MFA Boston
Boston

Taking on the topic “what we make,” Jeanne steps back to explore the architect’s role in making cities of the past, what that role is today, and what its evolution might look like in the future.

Through the lens of some of her firm’s most recent and noteworthy projects, including Aqua Tower, Northerly Island Framework Plan, Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park Zoo, and Columbia College Chicago’s Media Production Center, she examines how architectural practice might be refocused to help reimagine the state of our environment and our cities.
