In her first lecture at Columbia since 2012, architect, MacArthur Fellow, and GSAPP Visiting Professor Jeanne Gang presented the work of Studio Gang Architects. The Chicago-based firm’s acclaimed portfolio includes the Aqua Tower and Columbia College Media Production Center. In Gang’s work, Richard Meier notes a “continuation of Chicago’s modernist tradition of structural rationalism. She does this in a way that is at once deeply personal, socially progressive and incomparably innovative.” Response by Amale Andraos.
