Join author Dr. Gaye Johnson for a talk and conversation about her new book Futures of Black Radicalism. The book reflects on the links between Black resistance and anti-capitalism by examining the seminal work of scholar-activist Cedric Robinson, whose writings helped define the Black radical tradition and the concept of racial capitalism. A reception precedes the talk at 6:30 pm.
Dr. Johnson is a Professor at UCLA and writes and teaches on race and racism, cultural history, spatial politics, and political economy. The event is hosted by the Goldin Institute.
