Monterey Herald — "Seaside Civic Campus concept may include new Superior Courthouse"

Studio Gang selected for six-week feasibility study for a new civic campus outside in Seaside, California.

“The Civic Campus in Seaside would be within the 625-acre Seaside East portion of what was once Fort Ord bounded by Gen. Jim Moore Blvd to the west, Fort Ord National Monument to the east, Del Rey Oaks to the south, and the California Central Coast Veterans Cemetery to the north.

Having outgrown its current city hall, Seaside could potentially build a new 15,000- to 17,500-GSF structure at the Civic Campus to replace its more than 50-year-old, 10,000-GSF facility. Currently 14 staff members work in two modular offices or at Seaside Creates, an office space on Broadway Avenue. Council chambers often has standing-room-only crowds during public meetings.”
