In the February 2016 issue of Architectural Record, Editor-in-Chief Cathleen McGuigan pens an editorial proclaiming, “Architecture in the public interest is now part of the Zeitgeist.”

Spotlighting 2016 Pritzker Prize winner Alejandro Aravena; the 2015 Turner Prize–winning London architecture collective Assemble; and Studio Gang, McGuigan writes, “Studio Gang is a high-profile model practice that balances innovative architecture for commercial and institutional clients with work on social issues, often initiated by the architects themselves—what founder Jeanne Gang calls ‘actionable idealism.’”
