Studio Gang Names New Partners Ana Flor and Rodia Valladares

Studio Gang, the international architecture and urban design practice, announced today the elevation of Ana Flor and Rodia Valladares to Partner of Studio Gang. Co-leaders of Studio Gang’s Paris office, Flor and Valladares have both collaborated closely with Founding Partner Jeanne Gang for more than fifteen years.

“I am thrilled to invite Ana and Rodia to be our first Europe-based Partners at Studio Gang,” says Jeanne Gang. “Not only have they each demonstrated their talent as designers and leaders across some of our most celebrated projects, but they have also played an integral role in the growth of Studio Gang by helping to establish our office in Paris. The invitation to become Partner is in recognition of their meaningful contributions to our practice and our team.”

Since establishing a permanent office in Paris in 2018, Studio Gang has been working continuously in France and across Europe. In 2022, Studio Gang completed its first building in Europe with Q Residences, a 300,000 square foot (28,000 square meters) housing community in Amsterdam. In November 2024, the Studio completed the 25,500 square foot (2,300 square meters) University of Chicago John W. Boyer Center in Paris, marking its first completed project in France. The building serves as a new hub for scholarship and cultural exchange in Paris’ rapidly developing 13th arrondissement. The firm is currently designing cultural, public, and mixed-used residential projects in France, the Netherlands, and Albania.

Having joined Studio Gang in 2010, Flor and Valladares both served stints in the firm’s Chicago and New York offices before becoming the leaders of the Paris office in 2021. Flor helped to lead one of the firm’s most internationally acclaimed projects, the Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation at the American Museum of Natural History. A licensed architect in France, Spain, and the United States, Flor studied architecture in Spain, Switzerland, and the United Sates, receiving her graduate degree from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. Valladares most recently served as the Design Principal for the University of Chicago John W. Boyer Center in Paris. Licensed in France, Spain, and the United States, he graduated from the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM) and earned his Master of Architecture with Distinction from the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Flor and Valladares join Studio Gang’s global team of Partners, which is led by Jeanne Gang and includes Mark Schendel, Juliane Wolf, Weston Walker, William Emmick, and Alissa Anderson. Under the leadership of Jeanne Gang, Studio Gang’s eight Partners oversee the firm’s four offices in Chicago, New York, San Francisco, and Paris, with a team of 140 people. In addition to shaping the Studio’s design vision, directed globally by Jeanne Gang, the partnership seeks to provide the highest quality of service for its clients.
