Marketing Team Member

We’re currently hiring an energetic and proactive full-time Marketing Team Member to support the Studio’s increasingly global work from our Chicago office. Highly organized and an excellent communicator, the Marketing Team Member will work in close collaboration with fellow marketing and other colleagues to produce responses to RFQs/RFPs/RFIs and new business inquiries as well as custom portfolios. Able to flexibly multitask, their responsibilities will also include researching potential new projects; maintaining project, client, and consultant databases; preparing collateral materials; maintaining the physical and digital marketing archives in collaboration with the Archivist/Librarian; creating graphics for proposals; and supporting the overall marketing, publications, and communications team as needed.

Resourceful and responsible, the Marketing Team Member should be enthusiastic about taking on new challenges and contributing to a talented team working in a dynamic, creative environment. They must have a strong interest in architecture and design as well as great graphic design and written communication skills. Professional experience within the design profession is also highly preferred.

A bachelor’s degree in architecture, design, marketing, communications, or equivalent is required. Must exhibit complete command of the Adobe Creative Suite and other means used to communicate architecture across media formats.

Project Architects

We’re searching for experienced Project Architects with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience to join our Chicago office.

Project Architects are responsible for leadership and coordination of project team members and consultants throughout all phases of design, from conceptual design through construction administration. This role will assist senior leadership in directing and managing the project team, mentoring staff, representing the firm to the client, and participating in presentations and meetings. Exceptional design talent and technical skills are required in order to oversee the planning and execution of project documents.

A five-year bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Architecture and advanced knowledge of drafting and 3-D rendering software (Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit) are required. Must have prior project management and strategic planning experience. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required. A licensed/registered architect is strongly preferred.

Design Team Members

Design Team Members work on all phases of design, from conceptual design to construction administration. This role is responsible for significant aspects, daily design, and/or technical development of projects and must exhibit exceptional design talent and a deep understanding of all project phases.

IT Support Specialist

We’re seeking an IT Support Specialist to join our Chicago office. Under the guidance of the IT Manager, the IT Support Specialist will ensure that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to Studio Gang IT standards. This role will provide technical and desktop support for the entire studio, including installing, configuring, and performing software upgrades and maintenance. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment with a high volume of ongoing tasks. This person is a self-starter, highly organized, and able to juggle and prioritize multiple tasks. Experience working in a creative environment is preferred. Must be available to be on-call outside normal hours of operation, including weekends.

The IT Support Specialist role is 50 percent workstation and server management, 20 percent central administration file share management, 20 percent project management, and 10 percent vendor management. Responsibilities include: working within users’ schedules to install and configure appropriate hardware and software on computers; creating and maintaining various workstation inventory, remote control, PC/Mac imaging, backup, and antivirus systems; creating and maintaining internal technical documentation for all workstation management systems; tracking individual performance using standard support metrics; managing day-to-day operations of A/V equipment used for office-wide and client meetings; monitoring file space usage and access and request space increases as necessary; supporting and troubleshooting problems that occur, ensuring minimal disruption to users; working with outside vendors to ensure proper file space access; participating in projects where desktop support planning, estimation, and implementation are required; coordinating and completing desktop support project tasks including setting deadlines, monitoring, and summarizing progress to IT Manager; identifying, logging, analyzing, and managing potential and actual issues, risks, and actions under the direction of the IT Manager; maintaining industry standards and remaining up-to-date on new software, solutions, releases, and product enhancements; participating in discussions with internal staff and other Studio Gang teams where vendor support is required. Under the guidance of the IT Manager, this role will also manage vendor relationships and serve as a point of contact for vendor representatives of hardware, software, and operating systems.

Requirements include an associate’s degree in computer science or equivalent, a minimum of two years of experience in an IT support role, professional experience installing IT hardware and software, excellent written and verbal skills to interact with all levels of the studio and external vendors, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times. Strong experience and troubleshooting skills in networking, remote connectivity issues, VPN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, group policy, backups, and imaging solutions are also required. The following IT certifications are desirable: Microsoft MCP, Microsoft MCSE, Microsoft MCTS, MCITP Desktop, and MCITP.
