Project Leader - Chicago and San Francisco

Studio Gang is seeking an experienced Project Leader with a minimum of 5 years of experience to join our friendly and supportive culture of design professionals. Project Leaders work directly with Studio Gang’s design leadership, clients, and stakeholders to advance the design of a project from concept through construction. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of the project team, including coordination with consultants, and engineers.

Responsibilities
Included but not limited to:
- Managing all aspects of assigned projects. Coordinating the design, technical, and administrative aspects of the project. Organizing internal design reviews and workshops
- Ensuring the design is advanced appropriately and iteratively through each stage of the design process
- Working with Studio Gang’s Design Management leaders to estimate fees, determine scope of work, prepare, and refine proposals and contracts
- Managing project budgets, schedules, and programs
- Serving as primary liaison to clients, engineers, consultants, and stakeholders to bring schedule, budget, and scope of work to completion
- Coordinating with Studio Gang’s Marketing and Communications team to prepare images and narrative for external press and promotion
- Mentoring and developing other staff and team members. Participating in presentations and meetings as needed and requested

Required Skills and Experience
- Must possess and have demonstrated the design, communication and organizational skills needed to lead an A/E team through all stages of project design, documentation, construction, or project completion
- Licensure is preferred but not required
- Strong design and communication skills
- Ability to generate and identify strong design ideas and concepts simultaneously with internal project teams and external project consultants
- Previous experience as a team member on projects for a significant portion of the design and construction sequence
- Experience with the on-going administrative management of projects
- Exceptional time management skills for themselves as well as for their team and consultants
- Advanced knowledge of drafting and 3-D rendering software (Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit)
- Proficiency with the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and graphic sensibilities

Design Team Member - Chicago and San Francisco

Studio Gang is seeking a Design Team Member at the entry or intermediate level to join our team. Design Team Members work with a dedicated project team to assist with all phases of project design, from conceptual design to construction administration under the direct supervision of Project Leaders. Design Team Members must have a strong enthusiasm for creative problem solving, observation, and design communication. They work collaboratively within our iterative, research-based process to advance design studies and guide design decisions.

Responsibilities
- Participate in every phase of the research and design process, including site documentation, site analysis, and community engagement
- Contribute to the development of design and construction documents, including shop drawings
- Participate in material research and the coordination of project specifications
- Prepare material boards and samples for review and selection
- Participate in meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors
- Document construction progress, assisting in the preparation of punch lists and field observations
- Assist with project documentation

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Architecture and 1-5 years of related professional experience Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and 3D rendering software (Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit)
- Experience building architectural models, preparing sketches, vignettes, and drawing sets

Design Team Member - Paris

Studio Gang is seeking a full-time Design Team Member with 5 to 7 years’ experience to join our Paris team. Design Team Members work on all phases of project design, from concept to construction administration. Responsible for daily design and technical development of projects, as well as focusing on certain significant aspects of the architecture, they must exhibit exceptional design talent and a strong understanding of all project phases.

A 5-year undergraduate or graduate degree in Architecture and an advanced knowledge of 3D drafting software, including Revit, is required. This role in Paris will be responsible for generating construction drawings and details, and therefore requires extensive project experience through the phase PRO-DCE (Dossier de Consultation des Entreprises) on French projects, as well as experience in the construction phase. This person will also assist in BIM workflows and processes, including their alignment across all Studio Gang offices.

Requirements
- 5-year undergraduate or graduate degree in Architecture
- Advanced knowledge of drafting and 3D rendering software (Revit, Rhino, Enscape, Adobe Suite)
- Written and verbal proficiency in both French and English
- Experience working on France-based projects, including familiarity with French architectural and construction standards Strongly prefer candidates who are licensed/registered architects

IT Support Specialist Entry Level

Studio Gang is seeking a full-time, entry level IT Support Specialist to join our team. Candidates for this role should have a demonstrated ability to work independently and with remote supervision. They should also possess strong customer service and communication skills as the Specialist will interface frequently with studio members in multiple offices to provide technical support, equipment set-up, and training. The ideal candidate will contribute to our creative and collaborate culture.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting and resolving IT issues
- Basic network troubleshooting and installation
- iPhone, Android, Windows OS configuration, installation, and support
- PC support and installation
- Network installation and support
- Microsoft Office 365 support
- Remote monitoring and management of computing devices
- Support managed Wi-Fi systems

Requirements
- At least one year experience providing support and conducting field work
- Experience in basic network troubleshooting and installation
- Experience with onsite and remote support for software and hardware (Windows and Mac)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills both written (email, support ticketing) and in-person
- Must be self-motivated, proactive, and have excellent time management skills
- A+, Network+, and similar certifications are beneficial
