JT is a Design Team Member in Studio Gang’s Chicago office. Interested in cultural projects that stretch the imagination, JT was drawn to the Studio by its curiosity and passion to explore. He specializes in defining and developing concepts and helping them grow throughout the design process. He enjoys collaborating with other disciplines including technology, music, art, and performance.
JT graduated from the University of Florida in 2008 with a Bachelor of Design and studied at the Vicenza Institute of Architecture in Italy. He earned his M. Arch I degree from the Yale School of Architecture in 2012, where he received the AIA Henry Adams Certificate. During the summer of 2011, JT spent a summer in Hong Kong interning at davidclovers in Wan Chai. After graduation he worked for four and a half years with the amazing people in the LAB at Rockwell Group.
Hailing from Orlando, Florida, JT settled in Brooklyn but now calls Chicago home. Outside of the Studio, he enjoys spending time with his dog Walnut, making music, furniture, and food. He is an avid sports fan and has visited every Major League Baseball stadium. He loves playing basketball and golf, and enjoys a game of badminton from time to time. His favorite landscapes include Bryce Canyon; Yellowstone National Park; Black Mountain, North Carolina; and St. John, USVI. His favorite bodies of water include the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Silver in Orlando.
