John Castro is a Project Architect working in the Studio’s Chicago office. John assists each project teams apply the latest technologies in building information modeling and complex geometry representation. He is currently engaged in large-scale projects, including the American Museum of Natural History Gilder Center for Science, Education, and Innovation, and served as an integral team member on the University of Chicago Campus North Residential Commons. Other key projects include the Arcus Center for Social Justice Leadership and the WMS Boathouse at Clark Park. John holds a Master of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he won the Alpha Rho Chi Medal, and a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University.
