Gabrielle Poirier is a Design Team Member in Studio Gang’s Chicago office, where she has contributed to various cultural, educational, and residential projects, including the Beloit College Powerhouse, Rescue Company 2, and City Hyde Park. Gabrielle is drawn to architecture for its intersection of art and science, drawing and problem-solving. She is equally at ease during the early work of concept design and on site during construction administration.
Proudly from Montreal but now making her home in Chicago, Gabrielle enjoys the process of making, whether designing buildings, making clothes, or knitting. She holds a bachelor’s and a master degree from McGill University. Following her studies, Gabrielle traveled to Paris and London to research historic and contemporary sewer treatment facilities in the hopes of one day designing such a monument of civic pride. A fan of rocky landscapes and urban rivers, she counts Yosemite and the Saint Lawrence River among her favorites, and one day hopes to travel to Nepal.
