Gabriel Vidal-Hallett is a Design Team Member in the Studio’s Chicago office. Interested in designing for the human experience, he is inspired by design at multiple scales and has a passion for architecture that engages social and urban issues. His first encounter with the Studio’s Aqua Tower fueled his drive to create interactive experiences in the urban realm and to re-think what’s possible.
Hailing from Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood, Gabe left the city to study Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, charmed by the city’s rust-belt grind and quaint neighborhoods. Outside of architecture, he enjoys camping with friends, throwing pottery, cycling, experimenting in the kitchen, and traveling to Spain and Brazil to visit his family. Yellowstone Park and Lake Michigan are two of his favorite natural landscapes, and one day he hopes to canoe between Lake Superior’s Apostle Islands.
