Elizabeth Krasner leads communications out of the Studio’s Chicago office. Serving as the key point of contact for all press and media inquiries, Lizzie draws from her background in history, theory, and criticism of Architecture to tell the stories behind the Studio’s work. In addition to developing and implementing the Studio’s communications strategy across all platforms, including digital and social media, Lizzie works directly with Studio leadership to hone a unified voice and vision. Working closely with the Studio’s marketing and publications team, she executes media plans and press releases, develops and sources marketing content for ongoing and recently completed projects, manages interviews and awards submissions, and handles requests from the public.
A Vermont native, Lizzie was drawn to architecture and design as a way of understanding the world through physical experiences, people, and communities. With degrees in architecture from both MIT and the University of Toronto, Lizzie worked for Höweler + Yoon in Boston, Studio Olafur Eliasson in Berlin, and OMA New York before moving to Chicago. Her belief in the power of architecture to translate invisible structures into physical form mirrors her work in the Studio, translating ideas and process into narrative form. Interested in everything from letterpress printing to beekeeping, Lizzie enjoys collaborating with a range of disciplines including artists, academics, and chefs, and is particularly excited by the Studio’s burgeoning work in small-scale typologies for public benefit.
