Chase Jordan is a Design Team Member in the Studio’s Chicago office, working on various projects to design 3-D computer models and reimagine the futures of institutions. Interested in cultural and public projects, Chase was drawn to architecture for its ability to impact the built environment in ways that affect how people interact with and understand each other. He was attracted to Studio Gang for its ability to drive social progress at every scale and within various programmatic typologies, as well as its sensitivity to users, its playful intensity, and focus on integrating architects with their local context. He is also interested in architecture’s ability to communicate design ideas to various audiences in order to build relationships.
Chase hails from Tallahassee, Florida, and went to college at Emory University in Atlanta, where he studied art history, architectural studies, and French. He received his Master of Architecture from the Harvard Graduate School of Design. He has lived and worked in Paris, Greece, and Japan.
Outside of the Studio, he enjoys yoga, jogging, tennis, reading, drawing and painting, animated movies, and miniature dachshunds. His favorite landscapes include the Lofoten peninsula in Norway, the island of Samothrace in Greece, and Mount Fuji in Japan. His favorite bodies of water include the Hardangerfjord in Norway, Wakulla Springs in Florida, the Seine River in Paris, the Charles River in Boston, the Aegean Sea in Greece, and the Gulf of Mexico.
