Executive Assistant

Studio Gang is seeking an Executive Assistant with a positive and professional “can-do” attitude to provide a wide range of administrative support for our Managing Principal and leadership team.

Working collaboratively with the rest of our Studio and Principal Support team, this individual will handle all arrangements for firm-wide travel: organizing itineraries and preparing travel reimbursements and expense reports. They will maintain the Managing Principal’s calendar, including coordinating and scheduling appointments and meetings with strong follow-up; preparing agendas and meeting materials; and communicating with meeting participants. They will facilitate day-to-day administrative tasks for the Managing Principal such as time entry and will welcome his guests and interviewees. They will also prepare and edit outgoing correspondence and other documents, and will monitor, screen, respond to, and distribute incoming communications. Collaborating with the other Executive and Administrative Assistants, they may at times provide back-up for this group. They will also provide relief and back-up for the receptionist and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- 2–4 years of related experience at the Executive Assistant level and/or managing multiple managers is preferred
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills; with the ability to manage multiple strong personalities and concurrent tasks, set priorities with ease, and be flexible
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, exceptional judgment, and diplomacy
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with those of diverse organizational levels and backgrounds, always presenting professionalism
- Resourceful and capable of conducting research
- Proactive, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently or with little supervision
- Dependable, punctual, and a self-starter
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
- Strong working knowledge of basic office equipment

Digital Communications Coordinator/Manager

Studio Gang is seeking a full-time Digital Communications professional to join our communications team in Chicago. Highly creative and collaborative, this person will bring an exceptional talent and interest in architecture’s relationship with digital media to amplify the impact of the Studio’s work.

Supervised by the Communications Director, the Coordinator/Manager will oversee the Studio’s digital presence—sharing the Studio’s work, culture, and ethos. Responsible for the management of the Studio’s website and social media accounts, they will develop language and imagery to communicate major projects and events such as building completions and openings, new project commissions, and publications. They will also use their analytical and creative skills to conceptualize and produce new digital projects and other new ways of designing, organizing, and presenting the Studio’s work as its digital footprint expands. Related responsibilities will include assisting on photoshoots, developing video concepts, and creating digital press packs.

This person is an excellent visual storyteller with strong graphic, writing, and editing skills and a keen understanding of architectural imagery and relevant technology. An ideal candidate will have architectural experience and is comfortable working iteratively in a highly collaborative environment.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, design, or equivalent
- Passion for digital communication tools and technologies, including photography, video, and social media, as well as accompanying analytics and benchmarking tools
- 1-4 years professional experience in architecture or design environment
- Strong interest and creative ability to communicate architectural ideas
- Strong skills in Adobe software and website design and/or management
- Fluency in an additional language, especially French, is a major asset

Visualization Specialist

Studio Gang is seeking a Visualization Specialist for our Chicago office with experience in 2-D and 3-D architectural imaging. This individual should have a diverse interest in design and a strong ability to creatively solve complex problems. They will work collaboratively with the imaging team and architects and designers in all Studio offices on all phases of project development. The ideal candidate should be attentive to detail and an effective visual communicator. Advanced architectural collage, illustration, rendering, and animation skills are required to support the Studio’s current projects, enhance existing visualization techniques, and help engage emerging technologies. We seek an organized team member who excels at creating compelling imagery and is comfortable with the challenges of architectural workflows, design iteration, and deadlines.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or relevant field
- Demonstrated experience developing 2-D and 3-D architectural presentations
- Proficient with various digital modeling, rendering, animation, and editing software: 3ds Max, V-Ray, AutoCAD, Rhino, (Revit is a plus); Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, PowerPoint
- Experience with real-time imaging and developing VR game engine media: Unreal Engine, Unity
- Thorough understanding of 2-D and 3-D software interoperability and workflows

An interest in photography, filmmaking, sound production, and editing is a plus.

Urban Designer

We’re seeking an Urban Designer with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience to join our Chicago office.

Working collaboratively with a design team on multiple aspects of urban design and planning, the Urban Designer communicates overall urban design concepts, objectives, and critical issues, applying their knowledge to tasks and assignments; develops design sketches, renderings, models, and graphics for presentation materials; responds to the technical implications of urban design decisions; and facilitates studio and project goals.

This person must demonstrate a well-developed understanding of conceptual urban design documents and fundamental theories of urban design, project design, and execution. A five-year bachelor’s degree in Architecture or master’s degree in Urban Design with advanced knowledge of drafting and 3-D rendering software (Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit) is required. Prior project management and strategic planning experience is preferred.

Project Leaders

We’re searching for experienced Project Leaders with a minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience to join our Chicago, New York, and San Francisco offices.

Project Leaders are responsible for leadership and coordination of project team members and consultants throughout all phases of design, from conceptual design through construction administration. This role will assist senior leadership in directing and managing the project team, mentoring staff, representing the firm to the client, and participating in presentations and meetings. Exceptional design talent and technical skills are required in order to oversee the planning and execution of project documents.

A five-year bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in Architecture and advanced knowledge of drafting and 3-D rendering software (Rhino, AutoCAD, Revit) are required. Must have prior project management and strategic planning experience. Excellent communication and leadership skills are required. A licensed/registered architect is strongly preferred.
